One Tree Hill!

Ok, so I'm very excited there are new episodes of One Tree Hill on, but it is driving me absolutely crazy that Peyton and Lucas are not together. Every week I watch, hoping that this will be the week, and I keep getting teased by random moments of maybeness.
So the previews for last week showed an engagement ring and the two of them and I got my hopes up. Why? I know that previews are usually misleading, but I really really want them together. So, I scrolled very far ahead on my dvr until I could read the preview description, which is something like: 3 years in the past Peyton and Lucas blah blah blah. 3 years ago! Aaargh! I probably shouldn't be wrapped up in this show so much, but I've been watching it since it started 5 years ago. Plus, I used to have a super huge crush on the guy that plays Lucas, but ever since I found out in real life that he's slept with Paris Hilton, he kind of became gross to me. Anyway, by far the hottest ever season of this show was season 2 when Lucas and Peyton were going behind Brooke's back and hooking up. I know, how horrible is it that I'm rooting for the girl who was seeing her best friend's boyfried, but it is super hot. I also know that there are way more people that think Lucas and Peyton should not be together, but I say screw them! I just am ready to tear my hair out right now! Yep, there's my super crazy tv obsession.

First Post of 2008

Well, it's my first post of 2008. Why have I been gone for so long you may wonder? So, read on if you're that curious. I've had some medical issues going on lately and have had quite a few Dr appointments. These resulted in the conclusion that I will be having surgery in February. It's minimally invasive surgery to determine if I have endometriosis or just really horrible cramps, and hopefully I'll continue on with my life as normal after that.
That's really all I have to say about that right now. I'm terrified of surgery, but I know it needs to be done. And as much as I'd love to feel comfortable venting on my blog, I'm just not.
So, I've been trying not to think about it too much. I've become a master of crossword puzzles and sudoku. Those use up a bunch of my brain so my mind doesn't wander.
On the plus side, my mom is taking me to Disney World as a graduation present. I've never been there before and I'm super excited! If anyone has any happy recommendations about rides/places to eat/things to do, I'd love to hear it. We're going for a full 5 days, so we can spend one day in each park. Can't wait!

Target, I'm so mad at you!

Ok, so I was at Target last week browsing around while I had to wait for my birth control prescription to be refilled. And I spotted on the endcap, a bunch of pretty pastel washcloths. Mine are pretty ragged, so I started to check them out. They were made from 100% organic cotton! So, being the organic trying to be eco-friendly person I am, I immediately checked the price. Under $2! So I loaded up my cart with 4 blue and 4 green ones and was happy. I brought them home, lathered up with them in the shower (no having dirty thoughts, guys!) and they were fabulous, soft & luxurious.
So, I decided to check online to see if I could get matching towels. After all, I do accept Target egift cards, so I thought I could do some sort of towel bribe. But, apparently, these towels are discontinued. Aargh!
Target, I thought you were being so cool, giving me organics at a price I could afford, but you've abandoned me! I looked on Amazon, and all their organic towels are at least double the price. I may love the environment, but I'll soon be facing student loan repayment.
The only thing redeeming my night is an all new Nip/Tuck and Law & Order SVU.

One final plea to you, Target: Please keep getting organics!

Pumpkins & Tori Amos

Yes, I know, how crazy have my titles been lately. Very.

In any case, I carved a pumpkin last weekend for Halloween. The first one I've carved in about 10 years. I think it turned out very well. And no one has stolen it or hurt it this entire week. I'm impressed, at the place I lived last year, it would have been destroyed in the first night. And I supposedly moved to a less safe neighborhood because it's in the city. I am strongly in disagreement.
I also went to a Tori Amos concert last night. I've never seen her before, but I've been obsessed with her music since I was 14. I'm so happy I went, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! She's an amazing performer and she played some of my most favorite older songs as well as newer ones. When I went, I was thinking, I hope she plays "Tear in Your Hand." But, I figured it was old, and somewhat obscure, so it probably wouldn't happen. But, it was the final song of the night! So, here's my self taken pic in my tour shirt that I had to buy. I'm so incredibly happy today!!!!

Shooting Guns & Scary Movie Recommendations

Yes, I know, what an interesting title for a blog. Well, it is, it's a bit all over the place this time.

First of all, I learned how to shoot a gun last weekend. I went up north with my friend Carrie and she is pretty much my polar opposite. She had invited a bunch of other people for her bachelorette party and no one else showed up. I think it had to do with the last minute planning. But I'm standing up in the wedding, so I have to go. One of the activities on the agenda was gun shooting. I've never even held a gun before, much less shot one. I guess it was a 9mm, and a good gun, I really have no idea. But we shot at a target area full of bowling pins, milk jugs, bottles, and stuff like that. So, I learned about gun safety, then proceeded to shoot. I actually did pretty good. The guy teaching us put out a milk jug and tried to have Carrie and I hit it. She went first and hit everything but the jug. 18 rounds later, it was my turn. I hit it dead on twice and nicked it one more time. All in 15 rounds. Not bad for my first time shooting. So, look out, I'm a total bad ass now!
Ok, so to finish up, here are my favorite scary movies that you might want to check out this Halloween in case you haven't seen them already.
Frailty, Amityville Horror (the remake), Night of the Living Dead (the original black & white), 28 Days Later, The Blair Witch Project, Candyman
Maybe I'll give you some reviews later.
Oh, check out my panty mall store, I've been moving some things over there this past week.

Update for December

In December, my website name and host will expire and I've decided not to renew it. I thought about giving up selling altogether, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I'd miss it. So, I'll be selling exclusively from my store in the Panty Mall. I have a link posted and some items available through there already. I'll also have the occasional auction when I have the time.
So, I graduate college in December and I have a job waiting for me. Yes, it's still entry level, but it's with a large corporation with lots of growth potential. So, that's where my energy is focused. Because as much as I love selling, I can't get health insurance and a 401k from doing it.
It's been fun having my site, but to maintain it and learn how to do things with it has been a chore and I know I can simply upload photos and descriptions to the Mall without having to reformat, resize, etc.
Over the next few months, I'll be moving my links to this page, moving my items to the store, and updating my info over there. So, that's the update, I'll post one on the Hog once it gets closer.
